HMV model??

I am working this HMV for a guy. There are no markings other than the reproducer which says HMV and made in Britain.
Any ideas??? I know nothing about these, or if it's original.
As always thanks for the advice!

The break and the other visible parts are not HMV. Possibly a generic machine made with German or Swiss parts - or a frankenphone.

Typical Swiss/German machine which happens to be fitted with an HMV soundbox.
Motor probably by Beka, Paillard or Thorens.

Honestly that was the root of my question. I was wondering if it was a put together (no hmv tag etc) or a lesser known machine with a hmv reproducer. The motor looked to be thorens, but I do not not know much about european machines.
Thanks again!

Judging from the decades old dust build-up under the turntable, I don't think the cabinet was recently slapped together.

I agree with that observation. I wonder if its a legit eruo machine but with wrong sound box. I have not seen the horn he had with it.

Well, how interesting !
I have a very similar platter / turntable on an unusual gramophone too ! Mine is called 'The Oraphone'.

Mine is a number '2' though ....................... it is very small. I often wonder how very small a number '1' would have been !
I could not see a manufacturer for the motor.
Your gramophone has helped me approximately date mine.
