Found these original shipping and operating papers in, back behind the horn on my recent, single family owned, Amberola 75 purchase. It helps give an exact date to this serial number.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing it. I also have an Amberola 75.

Very interesting, especially in the "Contents of Case":

1 Reproducer (assembled in diaphragm arm)

Very curious what they would call the reproducer and what is a diaphragm arm? So is what we call a Diamond Disk Reproducer really a "diaphragm arm" and is their Reproducer what we call the diaphragm with the diamond? Can anyone make sense of this?

Thanks
Andreas

I would imagine the "diaphragm arm" is the wooden reproducer holder that's present in some cabinets, but that's just speculation.

I thought about that, but in the DD manuals the wooden reproducer holder is always called "cradle". I haven't found any mention of a "diaphragm arm" anywhere else, but I'm still a newbie

Might be referring to what we call the "stylus bar" being properly adjusted when dropped down for play.

That would make sense, even though the wording "1 Reproducer (assembled in diaphragm bar)" is still weird :D

Thanks
Andreas

Right. "Turn Table" is a little odd, too!

I just assumed diaphragm arm was the carriage.

I'm wondering if this form was used with Diamond Disc Phonographs as well.
