Victor Credenza Design Patent

An interesting historical tidbit:
Here is the Design Patent issued to Eugene Kieffer and assigned to Victor for the four-door Credenza Victrola cabinet (also 8-30 and 8-60). It is interesting that the Design Patent application was filed in late 1927 when the machines were already well in production. The patent was issued a year later in November 1928 and by this time the design was obsolete. Perhaps it was done to prevent competitors from making look-a-likes.
