Need help dating my new Columbia Grafonola

Hi gang,
I just bought a very nice table top Columbia grafonola. It says model d2
My few questions are how do I know the year made on mine and 2 how do I set that auto stop thing,? Under the tone arm it looks like a little curved knife I guess.
This is my first Columbia, I mostly have victrola's and Brunswick. This is my 11th machine
Works very smooth, the guy I got it from replaced all three springs in it but never did the reproducer I will do that tis week, finish is very nice, best I ever seen on a original finish. Got hat 200 records and a nice rca nipper dog statue. 16" high for 100 bucks...
I couldn't pass that up especially since he replaced the springs in it 2 years ago.
So any help on dating thus or how I can know would be great. It's not like victrola's that have serial numbers to help, unless tis one does on the motor some place I don't know about.
