HMV Frankenphone?

Frankenphone or a genuine 1905 model? The horn looks odd to me, but maybe that's because I'm used to seeing American-made wooden horns. The soundbox looks like a later electrical-era model, and the cabinet seems suspiciously plain - plus the exposed needle cups.

Frankenphone, without doubt. It has nothing in common with a genuine HMV model.

It looks like someone really tried to copy a wood horn, but lacked the skills of a true professional.

If this was presented as a "home made" instrument I'd say it was pretty decent- but who ever passed it off as genuine was a scoundrel.
