Does anyone know for sure how many were made? My serial number appears to be 1 101. I’m not finding EXTRA heavy duty tinfoil to use on the mandrel, what and from where do you recommend?

The plan was to make 100 but Goodwin Ive died before reaching that total. All of the parts went to someone else, who completed an unknown number. It is believed that fewer than 100 were actually made (perhaps much fewer).

That is likely a casting number, quite possibly copied over from the original part. The speaker assembly of the Ive machine was an exact copy, the rest of the machine was reconfigured and does not match the original exactly.

That number looks like R-101
