I've never seen this done before!

I've seen a lot of "jerry-rigged" reproducers before, but I have never seen a cylinder reproducer fixed like this.
Someone along the line replaced a broken sapphire with a steel needle!
I'm sure that they found it to be a little hard on their wax records, "ouch".

Holy smokes :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Not only is that going to be terrible for wax records... but it also looks a bit dangerous :?

I've never seen Jerry do that before, either. Mr. B has some splainin' to do... :)

I hope no attempt to play anything with that was made. I am just cringing at these photos.

I knew an old fellow many years ago who would put the ball from a ballpoint pen in place of the sapphire on Columbia reproducers, but never a steel needle. Oh my!
