Well I've got quite a few details recorded in an Excel spreadsheet of the machines I own, make, model, s/n, horn style, etcetera but it 's not so many to deal with.

Now I'm about 30% into a more challenging task. I've Logged about 200 Edison DDs in an Excel sheet so I can sort them by Title, Group, Number and a few other variables. I've wanted to do this for a long time but ugh... time consuming......

If you are entering them according to label variant, you may wish to use the identification system used by Ron Dethlefson in 'Edison Disc Records and Artists', if you aren't already.

The beauty of Excel is the sorting capability and the ability to add additional sorts later.

For now I'm able to sort by;
1)Record No. and R or L side
2)Title
3)Type of music (Foxtrot, Waltz, March, Etcetera)
4)Artist(s)
5)Condition

So all this information needs to be manually entered for each side. What a pain! Worked on it a good portion of the weekend and completed about ⅔ of those which are accessible here in Europe. That's ~ 350 sides done over the weekend, everything up through no. 51699. :coffee:
