Anyone interested in 2 gramophones at Ottery Auction Rooms, Devon, UK, a timed auction finishing 1 August. Lot 77 maybe EMG?

Lot 77 is an EMG Mk.IX with electric motor, 2 spring soundbox and damage to the horn mouth. The auctioneers have done enough research to estimate it at £2000/£3000 with a starting bid of £1900.
The number of machines in the sale suggests the dispersal of someone's collection. The location is not that far from me, but I don't know whose collection this might have been.

How many are there? I only spotted the two mentioned here but admittedly my patience ran out quickly when hitting the back button kept reverting to the full listing starting at the first page. It was taking an age to load everything. Consequently I gave up looking!

Thanks Roger for the link. It's not very inspiring, is it?

I've counted 3 crapophones, 3 hmv104s and 2 or 3 hmv130s. Lot 1896 includes an interesting soundbox we've seen herein discussed some days ago...

905 looks like a HMV 104, I’ve got a 130A, I’m not sure of all the differences between the two, but it is impressive for the relatively small size of it

It's a 104, the smallest hmv tabletop of the orthophonic era. It's a reduced version of the 130, 10" turntable, etc. It's like a 102 but in tabletop version.

It also has the 410 motor right out of the 101! Hardly all that great for a table model really. It was the cheaper end of the range.
