My First Automatic

For many, many years I've admired the early automatic changer phonographs, but I never thought I would actually own one. Last Sunday, I was finally able add this VE 9-55E to my collection. It's all there (I removed the pickup and any loose parts for transport) including the original manual, record index, and partially used containers of motor grease and oil. The seller claimed everything works, but one tube was bad, and I think we all know how that can go. I do know it will need a new record size selector lever. Unfortunately, I'm doing a major rearranging/purging job at home right now, so it has to sit in storage for a couple of months before I can get to it.

Thank you. I bought it at an estate sale in Jackson, Michigan. Originally bought new by a prominent Jackson family, the folks I bought it from were the second owners.
