What is this horn on Ebay?

It looks like the metal collar is handmade with a screw driven into it, and a new decal added. I am assuming that it may not started life as a Victor horn. What is it?

There was a similar style made for Columbia machines, but I don't know about Victor. It looks new enough to be a Don Gfell horn...

I've seen these horns (or similar) on DGAG machines. The decal may be a later addition, and the finishing at the throat is quite rough. I bet it's a modern compound made from an old horn... :?:

I have a HMV machine sold in Germany with a horn like this, with a Grammophon decal, that is similar but not identical - the petals are convex, not concave like the one in the photo.

This is almost certainly a Don Gfell horn.

You are right - Don would never do that to one of his horns. It must be a later home made hack job addition for a lost or damaged collar. Even then, what would it fit - "properly"?

The wood portion looks good...
