I don't know much about the puritan models... but this one is certainly my favorite. It looks to be in pretty good shape too; with a little cleaning it would be a really nice machine.
Hopefully someone can get it!

I have always wondered what these machines sounded like with the horn mouth at floor level.
Surely the dog and the cat would have had the best seats in the house.
Here is my good friend Old Country Chemist's brilliant version of the idea :

Interesting to note the minor variations in these Puritan machines. Mine was badged "La Vogue" on the needle cup block, and the metal fittings were all gold, except (curiously) for the lid hinge. There may have been an issue with the camera angle with this Facebook machine, but mine was more widely flared at the lower section. The legs were more delicately shaped with a carved curlicue on the corners, and the top of the corner posts (where it meets the lid frame) likewise had a carved curlicue. It had survived in really good condition over the years, and cost a lot (to me) in 1983 when I bought it. As such I never quite dared tinker with it or do much other than motor lubrication, the reproducer gaskets were the originals. Even so, it sounded rather good right out of the shop. I just sold i last year to a younger collector, I just decided it was time to pass it along to the next generation. I played it for the new owner and we noted how the low placement of the horn resulted in a "diffused" sound, much as you experience with the Victrola Revere, with its downward facing horn.

David,
That is a seldom seen machine and it's a bargain. It's not too far from you - just north of Bristol, TN, where my son went to college.

If it was just North of Bristol UK, an hour from me, I would buy it for Holly our cat.

I'm sure Holly would love it... and she deserves it... She's beautiful.

I would love to have it. But I have zero space... and might be adding another electric machine soon
