Hello:After 50 plus years i'm finally getting around to restoring my Trade Mark machine, which some told me it was beyond restoration. Any way I was wondering if anyone out there has made or has copies of the instruction sheet that was pasted on the bottom of the machine. I really would like to get one for my machine.

Here is the Berliner instruction sheet posted to the bottom of the case. This is actually a Berliner model B in the drawing but it was used on all the Canadian models.

Blain, Berliner trade mark models have a specific instruction paper pasted on the bottom.

To the original poster....you will need to specify if your looking for the US, Canadian, UK or other countries trade mark model paper. To my knowledge none are reproduced.

It should be mentioned that not all US Berliner Improved Gramophones had the instruction sheet glued to the bottom. I've seen these only on later-production examples (say approx. #19,000 onward). I don't know how long these were supplied, but they seem uncommon on US Berliners.

Sorry George I should have mentioned this in my post.

Here is the instruction paper used on the Canadian Berliner trade mark models.

Thank you to all for the information - it is really appreciated. My machine is U.S. it had small bits of a label on the bottom, and the remains of the wood arm had bits of the decal about the instructions on the bottom. attached is picture that I stole from eBay which shows what I think I need.

I could shoot my label, but it's no better than the eBay image you posted.

In any event, there's no point in further exploring Canadian versions since you have a US Berliner.

Out of curiosity, what's your machine's serial number?

I haven't been able to find a serial number. As I mentioned I was told this machine wasn't restorable, it had lain in water in a basement for over 50 years when I got it. I'm trying to save some of the wood, and the spring cover had no markings that I could see - it is at the platers now maybe something will show up.

I hope that you took some “before” pictures. My favorite thing on this forum is being able to see the transformation back to a functional treasure. Best of luck wit the restoration. I have a Canadian Berliner that some thought was a lost cause as well. They were mistaken.

Yes, Django - you should post your "before" and "after" pictures (or a ink to that old thread) to give the OP some encouragement! It was quite a transformation.
