Victor 1 Crank Groove

Is this correct or did someone make this groove in the cabinet just so they wouldn't have to remove the crank to access the motor.
I think it probably is, since there are no screw holes for any crank escutcheon _ could have been filled I suppose.

Could be a trick from a previous owner that couldn't take the crank out (seized at some stage). A bit rare, for I supposed all Víctor machines had detachable cranks and a crank estucheon. Maybe part of the case was replaced at some point.

That's shameful. I've seen one other cabinet that was cut like this because someone permanently attached the crank to the crank shaft.

Yup. It's a bodge job. Plus the bracket decal -- what's visible of it -- seems a bit off. I would pass on this machine.

The lady selling it wants 500.00 US for it.

And yes, looks like someone has painted the bracket and there is defiantly a new decal on it that is applied crooked.
