I know it was discussed on the forum here about the Victor M and MS rigid arms having the attachment for a crane for larger horns. I was going through some of my pictures and found a Victor Rigid Arm M with a HUGE horn. I have attached the pic. Please don't try this at home! Elbows are much to expensive and scarce!!! Enjoy, Tom

Not a good idea, but the horn is supported by a floor crane, which takes most of the weight off the elbow.

To my eye, that looks like a Vic I... which would make the elbow even more likely to break under the extra weight. If the crane is adjusted correctly, I guess it would relieve pressure on the elbow.

To my eyes also and not a rigid arm machine.

Based on the size of the individual, what is a good estimate of the length of the horn and diameter of the bell?

Thanks, Jerry B.

Thanks, I have a large horn with a threaded small end, black bodied and brass belled with Victor decal and it has a hanger. I'll measure it when I get home.

Thanks, Jerry

It meant less weight on the record when Victor introduced the rigid arm. With the front mount
using the large horn caused wear on the records. edisonplayer.
