The elaborate cabinet looks French to me, but there is not enough left of the "works" to identify the manufacturer. I suspect that it was a "one off" by a cabinet maker using bought in mechanical components.
Despite being less than an hour's driving from me, I will resist the temptation to take on yet another project for which I have no use and no room.
