DeeDee and I had a great trip following our #1 Oregon Duck football game vs the Cal Bears. Here's what DeeDee found for me:

Wow... That guy in the painting is the spitting image of Thomas Alva Edison

We cruised through an antique shop that was going out of business. My opinion of the merchandise was that it was mostly decorator items with virtually no antiques. I was waiting by the car when DeeDee came out but before she got in the car, she asked if had seen the framed Edison print. I admitted that I had rushed through the shop and dismissed the contents as junk. I quickly went back and saw the print which was tagged at $350. I asked the owner for her best price on the "Edison" print. Her reply led me to believe that she did not recognize the person in the print and her price was based on the frame and she'd take $100. I quickly gave her five twenties and carefully loaded my treasure. Thank you DeeDee!

That really is a great find!! I usually do the same thing- rush through and miss something really interesting. I have a 17-year old daughter that accompanies me often and I tell her to look and find what I miss. She's much more thorough than me and sometimes finds the great item I missed. Tell Dee Dee that she's fantastic!

Yes, but I don't think it's him. Most likely it's his half brother Morris (Edison.) People often get them confused.

Great find Jerry or should I say DeeDee!!!!.....

I wonder why anyone would make a print of Edison's half-brother? It seems more logical that this is Old Tom.

wait, so that's a print? I had no idea that such images of edison were worth so much.
