Today I played two Orthophonic records on my VV 4-3 and enjoyed the music from the 1920s! Did anyone else play Orthophonic Victor Records today?

I play them almost every day on the 10-50 or 10-35... by the stack! :)

I had a busy day but I found time to play a few of my favourite orthophonics:

-Bennie Moten and his Kansas City Orchestra: Slow motion stomp/Hot water blues
-Sleepy Hall and the Melody Boys: If I can’t have you (what a pleasant gently swinging vo-dee-oh-doh Donaldson number)
-Marion Harris: The Man I Love (Gershwin)
-Helen Morgan: Bill (from Showboat)
-Paul Robeson: On ma journey
-Maria Jeritza: Twilight (Hamilton)
-Amelita Galli-Curci: Serenata (Tosti) and Parla (Arditi) two of her best electrics

Blissful happiness!

Steven

I celebrated belatedly last night. Everything from Jelly Roll Morton to the DeZurich Sisters.

It is November 2nd again! I played about a half dozen Orthophonic records on the VV 4-3! Celebrate the day and play Orthophonic records.
A favorite is the Harry Lauder song "When I Was 21" on a 12 inch Red Seal Orthophonic disc.
