It's been a while since I posted on this board, but this recent purchase of mine I really had to share. This is a really hot Paul Ash recording, and in excellent shape. I especially like the modulation at the end.

Paul Ash and His Orchestra with "My Pet", recorded March 26, 1928 and issued on Columbia 1349-D. Vocal refrain by Milton Watson.

Thanks. That's the first time I've heard a Paul Ash on Columbia. Pretty hotsy-wotsy, too.

Ash and his Granada Orchestra recording of Rosita/Japanese Sunset, on Brunswick, was one of the first 78's that I discovered I really liked, when just a wee lad. But that one is decidedly NOT very hot, so... :oops:

Yes, thanks for posting this! Excellent transfer too! Youtube videos are nice, but mp3 audio files sound so much better. Keep 'em coming, please!
