Here is a beautiful, all-original, Edison Amberola 30 phonograph. The finish is original and shiny, the enamel and bedplate are just about perfect. The decal on the inside lid is 100%. The phonograph plays well , but may need some lubrication. This version has the desireable external speed control, which can be used with the ICS reducing ring and specialpy adapted Model H reproducer to play 4 minute wax records, as well as record with a 4 minute recorder.

It's in very, very nice shape for an Amberola 30, many of which often have major issues.

Looks like a pretty early model, judging from the single screw on the carriage. Don't see any pinstriping, though...

Pinstriping was only on the earliest models. This transitional version without pinstriping and other fine details on the bedplate and gear cover followed next. However, the external speed control functionality was retained. Shortly after this model, the speed control was internal.

I was judging more by the single carriage screw. I have a 30 from about early 1916, with two carriage screws and the external speed control...

That's about as good as these come - should make a great addition to somebody's collection. Yes they are common but they play so darn well.
