I came across a YouTube video of a Maestophone No. 205 Hot Air Phonograph. This machine is amazing. Apparently, the machine is able to run for 12 hours before refueling the oil canister. Check it out.

Yes,if you go to the other forum that you posted on you can see a piece that we did in the "phono focus" section. I think you will enjoy that.There are five that we know of in North America.Three in the US and two in Canada.Four are 205's and there is only one 206.There is also only one 207 (in a black metal case)in a private collection in Switzerland.Only three different models were made.

Thanks.It really is the way to look at "worth".I was thinking about "when" the last time one of these was for sale on the open market. I think it was the pieced together one that a major European dealer was selling on Ebay a few years ago. I can't remember what it started at and what it sold for was never known because it was pulled off early and sold privately.That machine was a #205. There was another #205 that was sold privately a couple of weeks ago.However,not being on the open market,the selling price is unknown.I have heard that it was up in the 20K area.To me that sounds like a lot and given it had some repro parts and incorect horn.That figure could be just a myth..... . Interesting note on these machines. So far there are only two out of all the survivers that have the correct horn. One is in Milan Italy and the other is ours. There are two different engines.What makes them different is the power and some of the castings (look that the piece where the little brass oiler filler cup is on the bottom transfer shaft).To look at them however,it's hard to notice.I hope that you don't find this too boring
