This is a UK Columbia No.132a in Oak, circa 1929. The No.133a was basically the same machine but in Mahogany.
Oak was generally the cheaper option. The 132a cost £18.18s. and the 133a £21.10s.
In the UK cabinet gramophones were usually offered in Oak or Mahogany. Walnut was rarely used.

Note that the "speaker still works." Just think, after all these years! They don't make 'em like they used to. (After all, it's a "Gram-a-phone")

I bet it sounds great! The Plano-Reflex arms are pretty good quality and the No. 9 Viva-Tonal reproducer tends to have a great sound. With a large horn it should give powerful reproduction.

Doesn't hurt that the cabinet's actually beautiful too.
