Lamp From Old Horn

Saw this lamp in a local indoor flea market. It appears to have been made from an old phonograph horn (I don't have an external horn machine and don't otherwise know much about them). They were asking $30 for the lamp but I suspect it would be worth much more as a horn.

It's a Victor 9 panel horn, the end is missing so it can't be used on a machine in the state it's in.
If you paid 30 bucks for it, that is what it's worth.

If someone had the end they could re-solder it in place, they may be willing to pay more.

It's a beautiful horn, but a grotesque lamp.

JeffR1 - Thanks for shedding some light on it!
Vintagetenor - Yep, I wonder what they did to the rest of the machine... :?

I didn't purchase it, and if anyone is interested in it, let me know and I can forward the contact info for the store it is in.

It's likely scrap, unfortunately. :/

This is the horn off an old Victor machine--and the end is cut off. It's not a bit of good to anyone right this minute.
