Hello. Christiane Hofer has passed to GHT members a request from hindi discographer Suresh Chandvankar, whom some of you may know, related to the meaning of some letters adjoined to Pathé matrix numbers... a difficult question, as Pathé numbering system has always been a nightmare.
Here it is, in case someone can help---

Many Pathé disc catalogue numbers contain letters G R or r a. What's the long form of these letters?
