WANTED: Ad for a Standard Model X Depicting This Horn...

I recently purchased this horn from a Forum member. (Thanks!) A friend of mine had the exact same horn on a Standard Model X. Alongside the phonograph, he had an original ad depicting a Standard Model X, fitted with this same horn.

Does anyone have such an ad?? I don't need to buy it, (but I will if need be). If you'll just post a scan of it, I'd really appreciate it!!!

Thanks!!

In my useless and who cares what I say opinion, that phonograph should have never been cut up and pieces sold just to make a buck. You’ll never find an add because it never was available . This forum is dedicated to the love of Talking Machines. I do agree that a lot of machines are found missing a lot of parts, then it makes sense, but to make a buck and part out a rare phonograph, that’s just wrong!

Thanks for sharing your frustration. Not sure who you're upset with. I was offered a horn and I purchased it. Why do you believe a phonograph was "cut up" in order to offer this horn for sale? I can tell you, with 95% certainty, that the AJ phonograph that this horn was shown with in its original offering, was purchased at a Stanton auction maybe 1 or 2 years ago. At the auction, it did NOT have this horn on it. The person who sold me the horn tried several different ways, at several different prices, to sell the AJ with the horn. It seems that was his preference. He did not set out to "cut up" things for a buck. He had no takers. Maybe you should have bought it, to ensure that the horn added to it in the last year or two would stay with it for all eternity.

As to it never being available as shown in my photo, it definitely was. Some years ago, I personally viewed an original ad showing just this arrangement. My friend who had the ad, and the phonograph to match, has since sold most of his collection and no longer has the ad or the machine.
