Removing Needle Tray of HMV 102

I’m trying to remove the needle tray of my HMV102, to have it rechromed. I do not want to damage the leatherette and any advice would be appreciated.
Slide the tray fully open and you will see two small concealed fixing screws. When these are removed the tray can be withdrawn.
If the tray is reluctant to come out, remove the motor board and push it out from behind.
