FOR SALE: RIGID-ARM VICTOR M $1800
Posted: Sat Feb 12, 2022 7:09 pm
This is one of several project phonographs I will be offering for sale during the next few weeks. I just don’t have the time to finish them all and we are trying to downsize.
This rigid-arm Victor M almost does not qualify as a project. The motor is in great shape; however, after reassembly and giving a test wind, I discovered one of the springs is either detached from the arbor or broken. It does run smoothly on one spring even without lubrication but you really need both springs working.
The rigid arm scissor portion which attaches to the reproducer will need to have one hole drilled for the other flange screw. The reproducer itself has already been rebuilt.
The spring loaded pin that supports the rigid arm is a bit short but supports the arm. It seems the original pin may be stuck inside the back bracket and could be drilled out to allow a longer support swivel pin.
I do not have a crank, elbow or horn. This is a rare phonograph close to being completed. I leave the final fixes to the new owner. $1800 + SHIPPNG (Extra)

It sells to the first person to post SOLD.
