I am trying to restore the leatherette of my HMV102. I need a dye or polish to restore the red leatherette and any advice on products and procedures would be appreciated.

I’ve always washed them down gently with warm soapy water and a gentle brush to get rid of any dirt. Use the water sparingly so it doesn’t damage but repeat until it’s clean.
Let it dry off well, then use some of this:

It’s the best stuff I’ve used and is a lot better than regular shoe polish which is usually the preferred method. I guess you could use any shoe cream but this always worked well.
Is your 102 the earlier burgundy type colour or the later brighter red? Palc do both colours, choose the nearest match as you’re never going to get it 100%.
If it’s the darker you can always go over it with oxblood shoe polish afterwards for added effect but not always necessary.
