Hello All,

I found an Edison C19 that looks great. I did notice it appears to be missing the telltale trim. Does anyone know why that would be? It appears to be a plain variant to the standadd boxed trim style on this machine.

The serial number is SM106584. Any information re the serial number would really help guide me in this purchase also.

Many thanks,

Steve

It's missing because some or all of it fell off. Not so uncommon, unfortunately. Refinishers will sometimes remove whatever of it may remain and leave it plain.

The serial number has it being made sometime between mid-late March of 1920.

Be sure to also download my "key" along with my production dates estimates pdf. It includes information not obvious on my dates spreadsheet.

It can be found at the Antique Phonograph Society website, here:https://www.antiquephono.org/edison-c-2 ... -1925-pdf/
