EDIT: Sold
Greetings All,
Well, life happens and now I need to find a new home for my beloved C-250. With a two year old in the house and space at a premium, I do not want to see this player potentially damaged much less neglected. It is time to let someone else enjoy this machine in all its glory
This is an early C-250, tag number SM 6703 (guessing late 1915-early 1916 production). It has a fancier bedplate which is in excellent condition and added interior elements such as drip catchers, etc., original felt, and has more or less been maintained and periodically lubricated and run. The original casters are included, as well as some spare elements. The original disc organizers which were present when I purchased are also included, as are some assorted diamond discs. The cabinet is missing one small trim piece in the front, there is some flaking to veneer on the bottom of the cabinet (chips saved). The worse damage is to the rear of the upper lid where the player was against a wall. I've babied the unit since I bought it back in November 2009 but opted to only use orange oil on the cabinet and make no repairs myself. The previous owner never played it...it just was set decoration in his home!
I will not ship this unit and local pick up only. It is in Northern Virginia (Alexandria). If you wish to arrange shipping to get it picked up and hauled out all the better. I can take other photos as desired. Please inquire as to pricing if serious. Price-wise I am asking for inquiries as I am honestly not entirely sure of the value of the player. I know its condition and age make it desirable to collectors.
