I was going to pass this one along, but as you can see, I didn’t. The machine has been in storage for the last 50 years. It plays well and came with a nice recorder in an original box that needs to be glued back together. It also included a nice Brass horn, crane foot, crane brackets on the back, 80 cylinders and two, model K reproducers, (good condition but in need of service, (one has two, four minute styluses). I will be looking for a shaver.
The serial number is S28467, (any dating would be appreciated).
I haven’t played any of the cylinders yet. Some of the containers have 1901 and 1902 patent dates and some have no patent information or portrait of Thomas Edison. There were also some paper inserts. Some of the black cylinders do not have any information other than Edison’s signature and the word Patented, (see pictures 11 and 12).

Wow, nice find! A complete set-up, and then some! FB Marketplace near me is fairly non-productive.

The ones with "just" Edison's sig are the earliest type of Gold Moulded record before they started putting the titles on the end. If you look closely, you should also see a record number engraved as well.
Those are early boxes as well. Please post the various last patent dates shown when you have a chance.

A nice outfit to find in the wild!
Edison Standard #28467 left the factory in October 1900.
Here's a chronology of U.S. Edison standard-size cylinder boxes:

Thank you for the information George. The purchase included quite a few of the early boxes as well as brown wax and early Gold Molded cylinders.
The cabinet’s lid has a split, but the machine is in very nice shape, minus the shaving blade. This machine is one year newer than the home that I bought recently. I’m actually glad that it wasn’t one of the earlier machines with the quality issues.

Thank you for the information. Four boxes have the October 1, 1901 date and two have November 18, 1902. Seven are pre-signature and pre-portrait. One of the early ones has a printing error. One of the 1905 boxes does as well.

Even the boxes which hold 12 cylinders are cool. Anyone know if they are an Edison product or others?

The pasteboard boxes for a dozen cylinders were manufactured by several different outside manufacturers, but not Edison.

Great find and awesome machine. I was just playing my restored two clip Standard this morning. Since it came with a recorder could it be conceivable that some of those brown wax are home recordings? As I said with your other, I would love to hear them if they are! Even if not home recording I’d love to hear what’s in them. Awesome find and thanks for posting!
