I like it but I've always been a sucker for an odd ball upright. Jerry

I like the looks of it too. If I found a VVX spiderleg, I'd be awfully tempted, in spite of my resolution to buy no more machines.

That one is very out of the ordinary- it's been on Ebay for at least a year and probably won't sell- even if the price was lower it's going to be a b++ch to ship.

I don't think it would be difficult to get from point A to point B. There's a network of collectors all over the country that would facilitate transportation. I'm in Oregon and already have a record cabinet in Nebraska and an oak A-250 cabinet in Iowa to pick up on my way to Union.

True- but you've got to know the network. It won't work for everyone.

You're right and that's why it is important to be involved in as many venues as possible like MAPS with its regional chapters and CAPS. One of my OTAPS (Oregon Territory Antique Phonograph Society which is a chapter of MAPS) buddies was traveling from Butte, Montana and picked up an "L" door Victrola in Boise and I'll meet him in Portland on Saturday. I like that machine. That's one of the nicest Silvertone that I have seen. It looks like a solid machine
