Unfortunately this is in a private group, so you not only need to have a Facebook account, you also need to be a member of the group to access the photos.

Having said that, I think this is a prototype for a 2-and-4 minute machine using 2 separate feedscrews. I recall a discussion of this here some years ago. The machine is clearly a marriage of different things as the upper works is too long for the case.

While the pictures are currently unavailable, this thread discusses the machine I'm referring to:

I don't have a Facebook account, so I can't see the other pictures. Is there anything on the machine that identifies it as having been made by Edison? If not, I'm wondering if it could be a prototype of a knockoff.

I also agree with what 52089 said - that cabinet looks too small for that machine, so it was either a marriage when the machine was built, or there's always the possibility that it came later.

Some aspects of that machine remind me of this offering on FB Marketplace right now.

Looks like a business dictation machine? It also looks like it has SM/Triumph parts??

Case and motor look to be from a Triumph A; top works appear originally to be from a Class M...

Certainly a rather high serial number for a Class M Chassis.

Is it my imagination, or does the mandrel (portion) itself seem longer than usual?
