FOR SALE : BRINGING TO MIDWEST EXPO - 1 - VARIOUS

I had the good fortune recently to purchase as small set of Diamond Discs from the family of an Edison Employee. This employ was the recipient of "Discarded" diamond discs from the factory. It has long been held that "Discarded" Diamond Disc records were defective pressings, usually the labels, not the music itself.
I think with this recent find, I can add to that understanding and definitively say these records were "discarded" by Edison, even before they had labels, play very well, and are in excellent condition. There is nothing that appears defective on these records, in fact they are in really, really nice.
Take a look at this label. It provides proof positive that "Discarded" records remained the property of Edison, and were "loaned" to employees, never to be sold or loaned to others.
Here is what the stamping on the label says:
THIS DISCARDED RECORD IS THE PROPERTY OF THOMAS EDISON INC. W. ORANGE N.J. TEMPRORARILY IT IS BEING LOANED TO AN EDISON EMPLOYEE WHO IS NOT TO SELL IT OR LOAN IT TO OTHERS. UNDER THE PENALTY OF IMMEDIATE DISMISSAL FOR VIOLATING THIS RULE.
Most of the records in this grouping have an unfinished edge as in the following picture. Some do have a factory edge.
Note that none of the paper label Diamond Discs ever had a paper label. Both the Number Stamp, and the "Discarded" stamp have no paper label remnants. Note in the following picture.
I am making this grouping of records for sale, and will have them at the Midwest EXPO. Records that were "loaned" and "Discarded" to an Edison Employee are not a common find. Don't miss out on this opportunity.

Discarded Stamped Label - I have very, very few of these. This Diamond Disk is a true rarity. An example is shown following. The Price is $100.00 each. Discarded 82000 and 82500 Series - Highly sought after, the 82000 series and 85000 series was prestigious, featuring High Classical and Operatic selections originally priced between $2.00 and $2.50 and not often found today. I have very few of these records. An example is shown following. The Price is $50.00 each. Discarded 50000 Paper and Black labels - The most common series, but very uncommon as marked "Discarded" I have several of these. Examples are shown following. The Price is $15.00 each.
