Okay, I know this may seem crazy, but hear me out! I found this Edison standard phonograph for $175.00, and decided to rebuild it. It needs a crank, reproducer, leather belt, lid and a horn. Fortunately for me i was able to barrow the crank off of my home phonograph too wind it up. Which I was able too do, and the motor runs smoothly. I will need to clean off some of the rust. It will need a touch of paint. If i run into a problem, I know there are plenty of you on here who can help me?

I see a nice example of a machine. You did OK.
Wouldn't paint it though; I'd take denatured alcohol & very carefully, without messing up the pinstriping, remove the shellac coating on the metal parts. Then it should shine. Takes a long time but it keeps the originality and the value of the machine.

Thank you! I was more concerned where the paint came off. I wasn’t planning on painting the bedplate.

As I said on YouTube you have a 1906-1909 Model B 2 minute only machine. You need to ask George about the Manufacture date.

Okay! So I found out mine is a Model B 2 minute machine. That can be converted into a 4 minute machine. I would need to buy a 4 minute conversion kit.

Did you replace the tensioner spring? Where did you source one?
