Recently, I bought an Edison Standard model B that needs a new belt. As the old one fell off? The old one felt like leather? But, I wanted too know if I should use a leather belt or a rubber one?

Leather. No contest. Takes a little practice to make the belt the right length, but you'll do it more than once in your life. I think there's at least 1 YouTube video explaining how to size, stretch, splice, and glue a belt properly.

For me with a couple standard machines, I’ve used this specific GE Water filter O-Ring on my standard B and E and they’re some of my best running machines.

You do what you think is best I also had to make a leather belt for my Home Model B and it took months making one that didn’t warble. Hoo boy that was a task and a half! But that belt still works fine 3 or 4 years later.

I agree get Wyatt’s belts!

Wyatt transferred his belt business to Brian at The Phonograph Shop some months ago.
