Recently I got a Victor of a couple of songs from 1927 dedicated to Florence Mills. One side is "Florence ",sung by Juanita Stinnette Chappelle. The other side is "Bye Bye Florence "sung by Bert Howell. They're accompanied by Fats Waller on grand orgsn.There are videos of these records on YouTube. BTW;I've always wondered why Florence Mills never recorded?edisonplayer.

I saw online that Miss Mills made a couple of acoustic test recordings for Victor in 1924,but the tests aren't known to have survived. From what I read about her,she had such a delicate voice. edisonplayer.
