This is a very nice Edison Gem Model A, second version, phonograph. It was first marketed in July 1903. This is the early key wind version. The base is in very good condition, and I see no damage. The decal on the front of the lid is in very good condition and is easy to read. The decal and piping on the casting are also very good. It has a 10” black painted horn with a gold stripe. The horn is also in great condition. I believe the horn is original but I can't tell. If it is a reproduction, it is an old one. The phonograph plays 2 minute cylinders and has a rebuilt Model C reproducer and a new stylus. It plays very loud. The phonograph comes with 6 cylinders.

The phonograph has been restored to a proper level for the age of the phonograph and no effort has been made to make it look like new, off the shelf. It has been taken apart, cleaned, and sparingly lubricated and polished. The mechanism has been adjusted and plays perfectly. The pulley on the end of the mandrel is made of pot metal and has expanded with time. This is quite common with this model of the Gem phonograph. The pulley is quite functional and does not impede the playing of the machine.

I am asking $550. This sale can use Pay Pal "FAMILY AND FRIENDS" for payment. The final cost will be provided once I have a shipping address.
