Amberola 30 Clamp Not Reaching The

Here’s the video explaining my problem. I recently acquired an Amberola 30 and am having trouble with the tracking on Cylinders and actually being able to listen to more than just a few seconds of a song.

I posted a detailed explanation about this problem a few days ago here on the Forum and I cannot find the topic or the comments on it anymore. Anyway, this is a very simple problem to fix.

By the way, I also notice in the video that your reproducer is not seated completely down into the carriage 'eye'. This is also part of your problem. Do this first. The reproducer MUST be seated completely down inside the carriage 'eye' and tightened.

Loosen the carriage 'eye' set screw(s) and carefully wiggle the reproducer body a little (while also holding the horn throat) and lower the reproducer into the carriage 'eye' until it seats itself down completely. There is a 'key' inside the carriage eye that the reproducer cut-out must fit into. When seated properly, the reproducer top body should be level with the carriage eye. Yours sticks up a bit in the video.

Just like me, I get incredibly flummoxed when I don’t have a detailed video tutorial either. But I’ll give you an Email to someone who goes by Dyslexic Genius Hurt. His videos have saved me SO MUCH frustration! He also goes by “Cheryla” here too.
