Its not a record cabinet, it is a sheet music cabinet.
I think the whole idea of the ebay listing is to get the government interested in purchasing this.

Yea, this is one of those times that, even if it is worth the asking price, no one's going to buy it, so.. so what?
It's strange that the seller states "It bears King Henry's name", yea, because it's a quote from the play "Henry IV". I saw a house once that had a quote from Robert Burns carved into the mantel, I guess that's proof that Robert Burns lived there. It's also odd that he states that Iolani palace has never denied the authenticity of this piece. O.K., have they actually said it is authentic? It would be interesting to find out where this price came from.
