VV-IX Oak Finish color- Opinions???

Hi All- I pulled a machine off the shelves in the garage today and cleaned it up in anticipation of selling it.

It's an early VV-IX- Serial number of 39XXX places it in 1912 according to the Victor-Victrola page. It has the piano type door hinges, the early frame motor (similar to VicIII) with female crank and the early knobs with the wood-screw posts.

I am trying to ID the finish--- Fumed? Weathered? Gun Metal? I'm leaning towards Weathered, but would love to hear your thoughts-
Thanks-
Brad Abell

Here's an interesting dealer accessory that might help. Of course it's a snapshot in time and finishes changed but it might help answer your question.

Thanks Jerry!! That's a fantastic resource!

Given what I can see in your pictures, I'm still thinking Weathered Oak. I've had many Golden Oak machines over the years- In fact, I have a little VV-VIII right next to this one in the garage. The IX isn't Golden Oak.

Thanks for posting your finish samples. I wonder how many of those kits survived??

I have no idea but it's the only one I've seen.
