Objectively speaking, how much should this machine be worth?
I have seen only one example fitted with 2 and 4 minute playing speed change, and the repeater. All other features are identical to any other model BC. That being said, this must be an excedingly rare phonograph. The horn, measuring approx 23 inches long and bell dia 13.5 inches, is self supporting.

Quite impressive!
With the combination gearing, I wonder what the stylus is like.

It plays well with either a 2 minute or 4 minute record.

That's a sweet looking BC, Mike. Wanna do some trading for it?

I'm curious how much volume you're getting from it. Generally, these no longer play as loudly as they did when new unless the friction shoe assembly and amber wheel are replaced. Would love to see and hear a video of it playing a 2 minute and 4 minute cylinder. I'm surprised that the 23" all brass horn attached directly to the reproducer throat doesn't drag or otherwise inhibit the carriage movement especially considering all of the extra upper works gearing that was added for 4 minute play and the repeater. The big 3-spring motor on the BC is indeed very powerful but...Wow! Running the extra gearing and the weight of the 23" brass horn is an impressive feat for any spring motor. As far as value, who knows? But I DO know I'd love to own it and play it!

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Nice machine. I do believe that the horn should be supported with some type of horn crane otherwise you are taking a chance on damaging your reproducer or machine. You can see the horn support ring on one of your pic's.

Very Kool, I love BC's. I have seen one other one about six years ago and the fellow was asking 6K. I don't know if that value range is accurate though. Seemed high to me. Isn't it unusual that the same type of stylus can play both a two and four minute record? Don't claim to be an expert! Very interesting. Thanks for showing it. Lee
