You've probably heard that Edison made them, but none were ever issued. This is probably your only chance to own one, and it's a gem... Matrix 888, Cavalleria Rusticana, an operatic duet by Destinn & Gilly. The original is in E condition (or better).
The "puny" 10" disc is pictured just to show size.

So wait, were ANY 12" discs ever issued? I've never seen one but that doesn't mean much. My W&M console has a 12" option but I've started thinking that's for when the adapter is installed. Never seen a 12" diamond disc until now...

IIRC, there were no standard groove 12" Diamond Discs available to the general public. There were salesman's sample discs with excerpts of 5 records on each side. I think there are 13 or 14 different, all rare because they were only sent to dealers. Also, 6 12" long play discs were released. These are considerably harder to find than the 10' long plays, especially in playable condition.
