Original oil, what was supplied?

Members,
This unusual topic has to do with what type/brand of oil was used in the early stages of cylinder phonographs, let’s say between the years 1895-1910. Of course that’s just a rough guide. If a customer bought an Edison cylinder phonograph and was supplied with oil, would it have been an Edison branded product or maybe just an unknown brand to complete the sale? Do you think Columbia had there own brand at this time? I am aware that Edison and Columbia had specific thumb oilers at the time, but were they just filled with off the shelf oil or there specific brand? ... I have an original Columbia add, and the package included oil. Am I looking for something that doesn’t exist?
