I recently acquired a gold Victor #4 in relatively good condition and I
am rebuilding it with new gaskets and a new rear isolator. What I
was wondering is what I can use to stop any further degradation
of the gold front, the back is in excellent shape. Any help would be
appreciated.

Wear white cotton gloves when handling _ keep the sun off of it.

If it's taken nearly 100 years to get into its present condition, (without any special care), I don't think you'll see any appreciable change in the next few decades.
