Removing Victor spindle shaft pin

I just picked up a Victrola with the spindle shaft pin missing for seating the record platter. I'm having trouble removing the pin from a parts machine. How do I remove it? Does it tap out or screw out? And if it taps out, which end do I tap? I just want to be sure before making a lot of force.

Thanks,

AR

It will tap out with a small punch and hammer. It shouldn't take much.

Steve,

Thanks for the tip. I just punched it out.

It's for this Revere 14-1 I picked up today. I took out the motor board and tone arm to work on them. But here are photos of the cabinet.

I don't know why the photos come out sideways...

You're very welcome. Congrats on your find. It looks like a very nice one. The Revere is an interesting and very seldom seen machine. Just an fyi, I've read that with the downward facing horn, they give the best results in a non-carpeted room. Enjoy!!!
