Any report on how the Edison and Ford homes fared in Hurricane Ian?

Not specifically, no, but the news reports I saw used the word "devastated" when reporting on Ft. Myers. The initial predictions were that Tampa was going to be hit hard, but it seems that the storm turned inland a bit farther south. Between wind damage and flooding, it's not looking good for that area. Residents are under curfew to allow emergency responders to assist as needed.

The homes survived, per some photos on Twitter, but they are absolutely surrounded by downed trees.

That's a shame. I hope the gardens survived, they were rather beautiful when I visited in the spring. At least the homes and museums survived!

That banyan tree is built pretty solidly with all those little roots or trunks going down to the ground--I don't think I've ever seen a tree like that!

So thankful to hear the museum and homes survived the storm; I heard that a lot of people were killed and that a lot of houses were destroyed. It's sad news whenever one of these big storms comes through.

I doubt it's down. If the house is still up, the banyan is going to be.

What a mess. At least they faired though it quite well, unfortunately many other places didn’t.
