Columbia Records Ad: January 1909.

Columbia takes a sharp stick and pokes both Edison and Victor in this ad. The subtext is " Your new Amberol records are WAY too delicate : our last FOREVER " and " that expensive Victor sounds way better with a Columbia double faced record on it."

Yeah: if Edison had run with his celluloid patent, instead of trying to crush the competition, we might never have had to endure the Curse of the Amberol........

One of the Columbia demonstration discs has a statement something like "Hear the music the way it REALLY sounds- not like other companies THINK it should sound"
