Pathé ? Parts or complete model ?

I note that the tonearm etc seem to be original Pathé ?
There is also the original Pathé 'logo' - positioned 'top right' ?
The turntable seems to be covered in some kind of leather effect instead of 'felt'.
It is quite small. (13 inches x 11 and a half inches).
I wonder therefore if this is a complete and original Pathé gramophone model or if it has been altered by a DIY enthusiast.

I have just removed the motor to open it up and assess if the spring can be repaired or if it needs replacing.
I am really pleased to see that it is indeed a genuine, early Pathé motor.
A bit disappointed that there is not one cockerel to be seen. Perhaps they were introduced by Pathé later.

I don't think it's an original Pathé machine. Pathé made a seemingly endless variety of machines, far wider than Columbia HMV and Edison put together, but with that said, this looks like a DIY job to my eyes utilisng an original Pathé motor, turntable, brake and speed control. The rest looks a bit "knocked together in a shed". I appreciate the decal is there but you can buy that decal online and add it to anything now. Also, there are many Pathé machines of Jour Et Nuit / hornless type, from which a motorboard could have been re-appropriated including that commonly found decal.
Just my 0.02. I could be wrong.

I must admit that I haven't found a Pathé model which looks like this one. The horn is also interesting and I haven't seen one which is this shape either.
Looking forward to repairing the spring over the next few days and hearing what it sounds like.

I agree with Steve, it looks like something cobbled together using some Pathé parts (soundbox, motor and turntable). The arm does not look Pathé, and the horn seems to come from a portable. Even the cheapest Pathé models, like the Omnibus line, had cases with better finish than this one. The other point that makes this machine stand out is that the Pathé machines that I have seen all have a wood undercover, none have an exposed open bottom.

Looking closer to the connection of the arm to its base, I now think that the arm is a Pathé product.

I must admit that I wonder if the motorboard may be original and someone cut the horn hole on the left and added the base.
I do like it though, it is cute and I can't wait to hear how it sounds ! My only Pathé Frankenphone perhaps -ready for halloween !
