How many gramophones fit in a one room pokey hole?

That answer must be: "YES!"
Because look what I found.
Solid Oak, with one or two veneer panels, spring is gone, and it has started to gather a bit of superficial mould. But the wood looks solid, no de-lamination on the veneer, and it has a good looking soundbox and arm. I found it in a antique shop nearby who is closing down and I got the offer for the machine, about 500 needles and around 300 shellacks for 200 Euros.
The records are a good mix of classic albums, American swing and bigband, German pop music from the 30ties and 40ties and quite a lot in a mix from the 50ties and 60ties.
Up until the spring broke about six years ago it was used on fleamarkets to attract potential customers and it was, until then, well maintained.
I think it will clean up nicely.
Does anybody have any more info on this. I can´t find anything but it looks kinda HMV-ish

Since it seems to be a German machine, you may have more success asking that question on the German forum https://grammophon-platten.de/news.php

Seems a local model produced by a big music store, as per the plaque contents. Many big music stores across Europe did build and sell their own machines, for several grand hardware manufacturers sold their motors, tonearms and soundboxes to anyone who wanted to make machines. And the plaque says clearly Wilhelm Tum junior, music house, Rheinhausen, and the brand of the machine is after the man's name, Thujuphon. I think it's clear example of this.
Nice purchase. I hope you'll progress in bringing it to it's former glory...
